Junior Designer/Content Creator (NYC)

AMP Agency is seeking a Junior Designer/Content Creator to join their growing team in NYC. The ideal candidate has an unfiltered passion for social media—if you’re notorious for producing double-tap worthy Instagrams or an obsessively-curated Snap Story, let’s chat. Extra points awarded if you’re excited to produce amazing content, have a desire to learn and a natural curiosity, and love a good challenge. * Portfolio submission necessary.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and create social content, banner ads, landing pages and other formats of digital content for a variety of brands.
  • Produce high quality retouched social content in studio setting.
  • Have a keen creative eye to stage photographs and videos through the setup of lighting and backdrops.
  • Collaborate with Creative Director, Art Directors and Copywriters to revise work and refine concepts.
  • Participate in brainstorms and concept development.
  • Express complex ideas in a simple, clever and appealing way.
  • Manage projects from beginning to end, create and manage timelines.
  • Design and develop printed materials as needed.
  • Revise and create presentation graphics, icons, slides that are on brand.
  • Review, proof and edit work.

Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent.
  • Excellent graphic design and typography skills. 
  • Photography experience required.
  • Agency and or Fashion/Retail experience a plus.
  • Collaborative, team oriented skills but also capable of working independently when necessary.
  • Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  •  Other: Fluent in Powerpoint and other Microsoft Office products.

  •  Passion for design and social media.
  • Strong work ethic with exceptional project management skills. 
  • Infectious, positive can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and virtual teams. 
  • Flexibility and understanding of agency and client demands.
