Director of Agency Marketing (Boston)

Location: Boston, MA

Department: AMP Agency

Type: Full Time

Min. Experience: Senior Manager/Supervisor

AMP is a brand ecosystem agency, formed via the recent merger of 4 best-in-class firms – AMP, BLITZ, and 206Agency, to offer total experience management across digital and physical, proprietary data and targeting capabilities. Brands that design better customer experiences lead the world in business performance, and the mission of our 300 employees, across New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Seattle and Austin, is to craft the most beautifully-useful marketing, experiences and digital products that grow the businesses of our clients.

The Director of Agency Marketing has the unique opportunity to positively impact the growth and success of our agency and employees, by creating brand visibility and name recognition in the marketplace. The role is responsible for all national and local marketing activities that drive agency awareness and consideration, with the end goal to generate quality inbound new business leads, press recognition and employee engagement.

We seek a passionate, energetic, collaborative and solution-oriented leader who has a bias towards innovative thinking and consistently demonstrates a strong sense of professional integrity and accountability. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a team player, and an effective individual contributor willing to “lean in” in a fast-paced agency environment.

We know the key to our success is our people, and seek those who share our values:

  • Better Every Day - Insatiable curiosity, hunger to be better, openness to constant evolution. We push boundaries, challenge the status quo and take initiative to challenge ourselves and our clients. It is the opposite of being stagnant and complacent.

  • Smarter Together - Collaborative, constructive, inclusive. We constantly encourage and challenge each other and foster a positive culture of debate rooted in a believe that the collective is better than the individual. It is the opposite of selfish and ego-driven.

  • Diversity in Ideas and People - Inclusive of diverse perspectives and backgrounds; having empathy for others. We believe that a great idea can come from anywhere and we welcome all voices in the conversation. It is the opposite of being closed minded and set in one’s ways.

  • Shared Accountability - Ownership of results and outcomes; being reliable; able to have tough conversations. We do what we say we’ll do - both internally and externally - and are willing to accept responsibility for our actions. It is the opposite of excuses, shifting blame, playing victim.

  • Visionary - Proactive, forward thinking, big picture thinkers. We proactively identify opportunities, we eagerly test betas and we ultimately solve problems before they exist. It is the opposite of being reactionary and slow to market.
