The Director of Agency Marketing has the unique opportunity to positively impact the growth and success of our agency and employees, by creating brand visibility and name recognition in the marketplace. The role is responsible for all national and local marketing activities that drive agency awareness and consideration, with the end goal to generate quality inbound new business leads, press recognition and employee engagement.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement marketing, communications, PR strategies and programs across owned, earned and paid channels that create awareness and consideration for AMP and generate quality new business leads for our 5 national offices.
  • Collaborate with the leadership of each office to best position capabilities, industry expertise and case studies to promote AMP’s capabilities and expertise nationally and position us as an industry leader.
  • Create and manage thought leadership content plan for white papers and articles. Drive social and blog content strategy and publishing calendars.
  • Manage public relations efforts, develop key messaging and support content for vertical and industry publications as well as serve as the primary representative with the media in partnership with PR staff.
  • Manage AMP’s email marketing including outreach programs based on specific audiences and initiatives within the agency, quarterly e-newsletter, seasonal email campaigns and internal agency e-newsletter.
  • Design and maintain HubSpot marketing automation, smart lists and drip campaigns
  • Oversee search engine optimization and paid media.
  • Measure and optimize lead conversion across channels.
  • Owner of public and internal facing websites, including agency directory listings. Maintain existing and develop new content to improve SEO, build brand awareness and reputation in new areas of opportunity within specific verticals or the industry.  
  • Serve as the brand manager for the new AMP identity, ensuring consistent communication of image and positioning throughout the organization, along with all internal and external partners.
  • Manage event marketing efforts, including speaking engagements and trade shows. Facilitate trade memberships and correlating added value opportunities (e.g., Ad Club, MITX, WOMMA). Identify opportunities and create all necessary materials.
  • Partner with senior leadership, HR, and operations to build and maintain a robust internal marketing plan and agency culture. Owner of all internal communications, newsletters, and awards, as well as new initiatives addressing internal concerns.
  • Report on the results of all marketing activities and investments, and identify solutions for improvement to the senior management.
  • Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, tracking expenses, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Hire, retain, train, coach, guide, direct, and develop direct reports.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years management experience in marketing or PR for an agency or a professional services company/brand. Demonstrate a track record of strategic planning, execution and outcomes of managed marketing, communications and public relations activities.
  • At least a BA or BS in Marketing Communications, Journalism or a similar field.
  • HubSpot Inbound certification, and Marketing Software certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of content marketing, SEO best practices and marketing automation.
  • Impeccable writing and communications skills.
  • Magical at preparing Keynote and Powerpoint presentations that communicate clearly.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets, hiring, training and developing staff.
  • Experience running new business pitches and proposals a plus.
  • Project management and creative/tech team management a plus.  
  • Ability to travel 20% of time or as required
